 So What Is Up

The Internet Wayback Machine has been hacked. The Strategic Links web site (designed in 1994) is now on the web in it's original form.  That is twenty years ago!  The purpose of the site was to add to the credibility of my  micro-consulting firm.  Key elements of intellectual capital were related to common business concerns of the day. It was an extensive site when it was created, and some content and features were removed until 2003.

In 2005 I relinquished the original site url (www.strategiclinks.com).  It is now on the market for nearly $4000.  Domain renewals for 10 years would have totaled no more than $600.  Geez.  I was in telling other folks about the coming importance of the web!

There were no content management systems "back in the day."  I started using blogger in the 2006 Tracy Carter for Sheriff campaign before blogger was purchased by Google. It was the first ever web campaign in Lee County.  Less than 1% of campaigns in the US were thought to have used them in the country, and most of them were for major offices.  With so much experience with blogger and new formats, it is my choice for the platform to share this information with others again.
